Ptuj Golf Course
Number of holes: 18
Total course length: 5,727 m
Par: 71
The Ptuj golf course has won the title of the most beautiful golf course in Slovenia several times. It offers a view of the majestic Ptuj Castle, standing proud over one of the oldest Slovenian cities, a treasure trove of thousands of years of remains of the Roman town of Poetovia, Mithraism and the Middle Ages.
Players who love a challenge will love the water hazards that accompany most of the holes. The 14th hole is especially challenging, as this par 3 involves a shot to an island. 15 of the 18 holes are located next to the Studenčica stream and two ponds. The waters of the Ptuj golf course are home to many waterfowl, such as herons, grebes, swans and ducks. You can learn about these birds from signs with descriptions located by the tees. Because of its configuration, the course is also suitable for recreational players.
A practice range is located next to the club house, an attractive glass building shaped like a golf club which houses a bar and a pro-shop. A golf academy is also available.
While water hazards will impress you on the course, thermal waters in indoor and outdoor swimming pools will excite you in the Primus Hotel. The hotel is a part of the Terme Ptuj complex that provides relaxation and pampering with swimming pools, saunas, spa and wellness, and even fit cuisine.
